This is an idea for a forum in the Across The Megaverse section:

A place for site users to, in effect, blog their ongoing game sessions for everyone to see. I believe such a base would have many positive effects:

1. Would let people new to RPGs/Palladium Books see how actual games play out and get a general idea of the possiblilities evident in role-playing.

2. Would be a great place for GM's to showcase their particular game style and view the styles and game flow of others. Most of us who see other people's style of running a game get ideas that we can add to or use to modify an existing part of our own game.

3. It's fun to read. Pretty much everyone I know who's into old school RPGs finds it interesting to hear what others are doing in their campaign. Related to #2, it can also be a good source of ideas for one's own game play or to suggest to one's GM.

As far as the mechanics of the actual forum, each thread would be created to represent a existing game. Only on-topic threads would be allowed eg. game threads blogs only. It might be a good idea to give the thread creator the right to allow or disallow responses to their thread: some people may want to have a unbroken blog-style list of personal posts, others may welcome feedback from other users; just an idea.

Please consider it. Thank you for your time.

I'll be starting a new thread in the MDC Worlds - Rifts message base to demonstrate this concept.

Some people already use existing game forums to blog about their games. That is fine be me for now.

I second this idea! More votes! Let's get this motion approved.
