Nice.

The Germans in WW2 had a trick that they used to transport supplies. They would added a tow hook to their planes and use it to tow a glider. Simple, cheap and no power source needed.

May be of some use.

Ahh the found memories that was a fun game to play in. The character I played in the game is below. Wish we got to play more but its tough to arrange online games with players on different sides of the planet.



Mike grow up on a large farm in Colorado. His family had been
farmers for generations and had bought more land over the years. His
early life was a very active one. Not much for team sports but stayed in
great shape. Being a farmers son he took 4H as expected and won
several state awards.

Though it was in high school he found his true love. That being
the love of flying. With some work he talked his father into paying for
his classes. The reasoning being they would not need to hire anyone to
spray their crops anymore. It only took a few months for him to get the
nickname of Wildman from his energetic flying.

When the meltdown hit Mike was shocked out how bad it
really was. They had stocked up on some supplies but they never
thought the Y2K problem would be a bug invasion. Since the farm is
in a remote location they have not been bothered by the bugs. So when
the "Midwest Crop Dusters and Barnstormers Association" came
through the area Mike joined up to make sure the bugs never get the
chance to bother the family farm.

True but it would depend what you are going to use it for. Gliders are not combat aircrafts. Add a few Bug Jelly patchs build into the hull as close defense.

If using a glider doubles the range of your aircraft by carrying a load of fuel and some supplies that you cannot carry in your main aircraft. Used as a decoy so the tow plane can get away.

Without air superiority against the same forces, how do the "Midwest Crop Dusters and Barnstormers Association" survive?

I think that you can put a glider into the air with a truck towing to speed or aided with JATO tubes. The tubes can be air charge or rocket powered. You can also have a powered glider using bug powered generator runing an electrical motor.

But using gliders was just a thought.

HEY RODNEY! Haven't seen you around for a while.

Anyway, I got a copy of that cropduster a while back (I think from one of Shawn's old posts).

That's an evil piece of business right there.
