And More . . .
The Rifter® #43 is our fun and useful book of 20+ villains, goddesses and femme fatales that appear in Palladium’s third annual Swimsuit/Pinup Issue.
More than pretty ladies, there is a goddess (or two), a Candiru (a new type of mutant animal), a Chinese demon, Agents of the Celestial Court, Eylor Imps, Sqrr – pygmy Lizard Men, the lost daughter of Rurga(?), mutants, mages, ninja, Nightbane, superhumans, Aten the Lesser Rune Weapon, Star Blades, and even a multi-dimensional way-station with links to Atlantis, Rifts Earth, Phase World® and countless other places across the Megaverse®. Not to mention page after page of great art and a special tribute to Erick Wujcik.
The Rifter® is your doorway to unlimited imagination and numerous Palladium role-playing worlds. It offers new heroes, powers, weapons, magic and adventure for your games. It presents new villains, monsters and dangers to battle, and new ideas to consider.
Juicers, Cyber-Snatchers, Combat Cyborgs, Dead Boys, Dog Boys, Erin Tarn, Chi-Town, the ‘Burbs, parents, siblings, bartenders, comedians, monsters, dark magic, sad endings, happy endings, and new beginnings are some of the things you’ll read about in this Rifts® collection of new and original short stories created special for this book. Each written by one of Palladium’s premiere writers, from Braden Campbell and Carl Gleba to Kevin Siembieda and Taylor White.
The ‘Burbs are a collection of people waiting for admission into one of the fortified city havens of the Coalition States. The Chi-Town ‘Burbs are the most famous of these shanty towns, tent cities and sprawling megalopolises that do not officially exist, and therefore have no formal government or laws. Refugees, D-Bees, fugitives, adventurers, outlaws and dreamers of every stripe make their home in the ‘Burbs or visit to sell their wares, get a little R&R, or cause some trouble. This also attracts opportunists and criminals who prey upon the innocent and the gullible.
The printer has reconfirmed that both of the expanded, 8½ x 11 inch, hardcover editions of Robotech®: The Shadow Chronicles® RPG are on schedule and will be available to ship, August 6, 2008.
The Deluxe Edition has been completely redone and laid out as if it were a new title to best suit the larger size. It is filled with additional artwork throughout, offers superior reproduction of toned artwork, better paper stock, larger type-face, and the addition of some additional text, including two Haydonite spaceships, three UEEF ships, space combat rules and a handful of additional vehicles. Some of you requested a larger, hardcover edition of the core rule book and we’re happy to comply.
Work on the first two Robotech® sourcebooks, the Macross Saga™ and The Masters Saga™, is progressing nicely. Macross art and text are being readied for approval by our friends at Harmony Gold.
Brian and Allen Manning are busy finishing artwork, Apollo Okamura is almost done with the cover art, Mike Majestic and Katrina Matravers have been added to the art team, and Jason Marker and Kevin Siembieda area busy writing.
Gen Con. The big game convention of the year. We’ll be there with new releases (at least four: The Rifter® #43, Tales of the Chi-Town ‘Burbs™, The Robotech® Deluxe Hardcover RPG and Robotech® Deluxe Gold Hardcover, and maybe one or two other new items).
We’re at Booth #501, in the front, on the side where the videogames are located. It’s a nice big, six booth island featuring our new releases, back stock titles, original artwork, prints, T-shirts, and special guests and presentations. We’ll also be giving away a thousand copies of The Rifter® while supplies last.
RPG Gaming at the booth during exhibitor hours. There will also be Palladium game events and demos run at the booth all four days. Sign-up will be on a first come, first served basis.
The following Palladium creators are to be in attendance. All will be available to sign autographs and chat with fans, and some will be running Palladium gaming events.
