We’re still basking in the afterglow of Gen Con Indy 2011. I think one of my personal highlights at Gen Con this year (and there were many) was accidentally overhearing a gamer tell his buddy that I was a cool guy and the only game designer cooler than Kevin Siembieda was Gary Gygax. Wow. What a tremendous compliment. Made me blush.

We feel like we’re on a roll at Palladium. If sales would go up and stay up we’d be really rockin’ n’ rolling, but I guess you can’t have everything.

Gen Con Report. Gen Con Indy 2011 was not the financial windfall we had hoped it would be. According to several artists exhibiting at the show, their sales were half of what they were last year. A few small exhibitors made similar comments. We can’t judge, as Palladium Books hadn’t attended Gen Con for a couple of years. I can tell you we did well selling product, there were throngs of people, all in cheerful spirits, there was an aura of fun and excitement, and we felt it was definitely worth attending. So much so that we have already booked our booth space for next year.
