It's tangentially related, though not directly related to the Robotech RPGs. I'm boosting the signal for the petition to re-release the Robotech novels.

It'd be cool if they were printed as originally published, again.

Signed and shared. Fresh copies would be nice.

Agreed, my many moves left mine badly damaged.

to be honest, i am ambivalent about the novels. while bringing them back wouldn't really be a bad thing from a marketing perspective, way too many RT fans seem to regard their information as "holy writ" even over the show itself, especially regarding the many many ways that the novels changed details, how things worked, etc. so if they do bring them back i'd hope they include a foreward in each volume talking about how the novels are older works, and the authors were given carte blanche to rewrite and alter the setting when writing them. make it clear that they are *not* part of the official setting material. (if this means giving them a universe number ala the marvel properties, and leaning on the later robotech remix comic's "roboverse" idea, so be it)

I agree mostly with this, though I've been saying for years that the Novels (and RPGs, etc) from that era really are AUs in all but official name. I don't know if I'd agree that the Novels trump the Show, I've encountered just as many/if-not-more that put the show above the novels.

I don't oppose the idea, though I do have to say that I would not be a customer in this case since I have all 21 novels still, granted 4 are omnibus editions (and only 1x is from the "revision" to conform to TSC/Show Edits, and I know because I still have the 3-singles that make up the Omnibus I purchased in the 90s, not sure why I picked it up when I did but I did). I do agree any prints moving forward should be the original version and not the EDITED TO CONFORM the more recent releases appear to be (going on my NG omnibus, I didn't pickup the TMS/TRM versions since I already had the 90s versions, which AFAIK are the same as the single versions contained w/n).
